Meet Dr. Jones
Welcome to my webpage! My name is Dr. Tracey Jones and I have worked extensively as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for many years. I have a comprehensive background in communication disorders, which has allowed me to evaluate and treat various speech, language and hearing impairments throughout the Piedmont-Triad area. My working background also includes a career which has allowed me to be involved in a variety of experiences working with both children and adults in settings that include: Skilled Nursing Facilities, Head Start Pre-school Programs and Home Health/Care.
Earlier in my career, I participated in an internship at a community Child and School Health Clinic on the island of Bermuda. This allowed me to gain a unique knowledge of the referral and evaluation process of speech and language development. Pursuing, then ultimately receiving my doctoral degree in 2014, allowed me to complete research involving communication disorders, strategies and its educational impact.
These personal and professional experiences helped me to discover my passion for Speech-Language Pathology and improved my knowledge and understanding of communication disorders. At Tyro Elementary, I have been able to develop a speech and language program designed to identify, evaluate and implement strategies for students with communication needs.
