Principal's Page

Upon completing my studies at Central Davidson Senior High (1999), I pursued a two-year associate's degree at DDCC before transferring to Appalachian State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (2004).

I have worked as a classroom teacher at Southwood and Southmont. Throughout my teaching journey, I also focused on obtaining my Master’s Degree in School Administration from Gardner Webb University (2012). Additionally, I have held the position of Instructional Coach at Tyro Elementary, Fair Grove, Reeds, and Pilot and Assistant Principal (Denton/Silver Valley).

It is an honor and privilege to continue serving as your principal for another school year. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and incredible students. Together, we have built a strong school community focused on learning, growth, and success for every child.

As we begin another year, I remain committed to fostering a safe, positive, and engaging environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to celebrating achievements, overcoming challenges, and creating new opportunities for our students to shine.
